Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) technology is energy efficient, structurally sound and ideal for high-wind and ocean-front locations. A better way environmentally to build, ICF construction uses reinforcing steel and concrete to provide the structural systems for foundations, houses, additions and even swimming pools.

LaBarge is among the few builders using this method on Cape Cod. Although we do not build exclusively with ICF technology, we have the experience to ensure all its benefits. LaBarge began building with ICFs because they produce a better-built house. As custom home builders, our clients are very involved in the design-and-build process. Homes built with ICF exterior walls require an estimated 44% less energy to heat and 32% less energy to cool. Landfill construction waste is reduced to less than 1% with ICFs; and ICF homes save approximately 8.5 trees, effectively preserving nature's air filter.
